Urgent from "Scoop" e-news papaer (Protested against temporary contracts and accused administration of fraud)
Abd Alaziz Al-Osaimi – Abd Allah Al-Barqawi to “Scoop”- Riyadh: Today Sunday dozens of employees of Saudi Post Corporation who worked under contracts had abstained from work as a result of the determination of the corporation to change the contracts to be assistant jobs contracts instead of full jobs contracts. The staff told the chairman of the Saudi Postal Corporation, Dr. Mohammad Saleh Bin Taher Benten who met them today in the central post office in Riyadh, and stated that they will not make continues contracts , and they will be transferred to the item experts "supporting jobs".
"Scoop" had received complaints of the staff who have confirmed that the decisions of the corporation in this regard following the royal command which ordered to make continues contracts to all people under temporary contracts, the Corporation aims to circumvent the royal command and change staff positions the order not to be covered by the decision.
The staff said that the decision of switching jobs circulated by the corporation included 425 employees from contracted jobs, and the corporation forces the employees to sign these new contracts and threatened who refuses to sign the new contracts that his contract will end after 30 days from the date of delivery of the letter to him, and the corporation explained about the dissemination of the new contract that the new contracts includes some advantages which were not in the previous contracts, as annexed to models for the involvement of staff in the social security!
The Staff appealed to high authorities to intervene and to consider their situation and the abuse that they face, asserting that they are working on these jobs for nearly three years, and the corporation did not intend switching but only after the issuance of the Royal order!
And the staff tells the details of their suffering to "Scoop" pointing out that the corporation announced in 1429 its need to attract human resources of "university, diploma and secondary" graduates, and has the competence and ability to do postal work, and contracts were signed with about 425 citizens by the President of the Saudi Postal Corporation on official jobs which are certified by the Ministry of Finance with different salaries according to educational qualifications.
And they continue to explain their suffering, saying: "we were training for all postal work for eight weeks in the Postal Training Center in Riyadh, and then we were addressed to initiate our work in all postal administrations after we finished the training period successfully."
The staff added"the chairman of Saudi Post Corporation issued generalization No. 9111, date 08.18.1430Hijri for all postal departments and areas, by request to fill in the form for making continues contracts for them to their positions which they occupy to contract on certain conditions, the claim forms have been submitted after it has been fulfilled all requirements which are identified in the mainstream the chairman by his letter to the General-Director of Riyadh post office, No. 7146, date 08.09.1430Hijri endorse to making continues contracts for us due to our efficiency and the work need for urgent to our services. "
They Completed saying"we spent on these positions more than 3 years salaries were cut, no allowances or financial benefits granted to the corporation staff , our services are not shown in the General Organization for Social Insurance nor the Ministry of Civil Service for the purpose of retirement!"
They said: "We have made demands document many times to the chairman of Saudi Post Corporation requesting to reconsider our career and making continues contracts for us; in order to achieve job stability for us and to have the advantages of the corporation like our colleagues), most of our contracts has been changed to new contracts under jobs less than our jobs; which led to a decrease in our salary without notice or signing any contract with us, we don’t know who gave them the right to treat us with this injustice?! "
The staff confirmed that the officials in human resources in Saudi postal corporation are on high alert to turn the people who works under contracts of formal jobs to contracts on experts item "support jobs"; so as not covered by the Royal Order issued on Wednesday, 24/03/1432Hijri that was about making continues contracts for all employees on official certified jobs and supported in the state budget after spending more than three years on the job.
The staff cited at talking of the General-Director of Human Resources in the corporation the issuance of speech number 3986 dated 04/09/1432Hijri and No. 4104, date 04.11.1432Hijri after the issuance of the High command by fifteen days, Carries the word "urgent" together with new contracts on experts item, it includes directing of all area managers to expedite the transfer of all contracts on official jobs to contracts on the item of experts, with the threat of contract termination to who refuses to sign after thirty days from the date.
The Staff said that there is employees working under the item of support jobs 7 years ago, and theyhave not fixed in jobs; and this means that the corporation want to throw them under this item in order to not be ordained.
Staff and made an appeal through "Scoop" to the officials in the higher authorities to intervene and to consider what they are exposed to, and to investigate the causes of the hight alert of the corporation these days to change jobs
