God Estimates for me to send copies of my novel to some friends via Saudi mail, and for my bad luck, I sent it by registered mail, and worse, the delivery invoice was lost in the midst of the papers that crammed in my pocket, and eventually these copies lost!
I can say «stolen» instead of «lost» because it is logical that any parcel lost if we assume that the consignment is sent does not reach its destination it has to return to the source. But the sad thing is that the copies did not arrive, and turned back to the source, and I did not get it, let us suppose that a man sent a very important documents via Saudi post, and in worst case scenario,he lost the parcel receipt, so how can this man get his papers if it did not reach the point that he wants to send it to?, if we knew that, in total, parcels do not reach, especially in the registered mail!
I was much surprised by Dr. Benten the General-Director-of the postal corporation about not signing continues contracts with the staff in the Saudi Postal Corporation, and at the same time he is talking about professionalism in dealing with the mail, if the salaries of staff employed is not rewarding, and without any benefits, so from where the professionalism come? Doctor? The post is one of the pillars of the community, and one of the most important things in the country service, why there is no professionalism in the Saudi Post? Why Saudi postal officials insist to elicit confidence from us in sending through private post? Why «they Prolongs it while it is short and easy»? If they were not able to make professional work in the Saudi Post, Let them resign, so may a company come and invest in it, and then we will find the true professionalism, but the question here is: Why not being professional usually acquired with most of the officials?
I do not know what the secret really is, but I suggest that if Dr. Benten could not upgrade the Saudi postal corporation, he must submit it as an offering for the professionals that he talked about, to let the people of professionalism come from outside and manage the Saudi Postal corporation properly, because I think that there is potential features for Saudi postal corporation, but the problem is in leadership mentality!
